City of Houston Permitting Center Re-Opening Guidelines, June 1, 2020
Building will re-open on Monday, June 1, 2020 with a modified process.
The City of Houston Permitting is still encouraging people to work remotely and submit electronically.
- There is no update on the Satellite offices at this time, but if there is a demand for these offices or a specific office then the City of Houston will consider opening satellite office.
- If you arrive at the COH Permitting Center without an appointment, City staff will assist in making you an appointment or see if a Reviewer is available to help you.
- Racetrack will be open to process all items as normal, the cashier will be open, most plan reviewers have returned to the building.
- There will be no “loitering” in the building without an appointment or between appointments. Example: If you have an appointment at 8 a.m. and another at 11 a.m. – you cannot remain In the building between those times. You can wait in your vehicle in the parking lot or leave and return.
- Mandatory Face Coverings and Temperature checks will be enforced.
- One-Stop and other normal functions that are typically done in person, but electronic submission is encouraged.
